Grateful
Sometimes I miss the good old Friday gratefuls over at Brons place, I forget the rules, hashtags and days that I should be doing things now {sorry Bron}
But mostly I miss taking the time each week to force myself to stop, think and reflect on all that I am grateful for.
In the crazy, hurried, busy lives we lead, its so nice to take a moment to be grateful for the good in all the crazy. Because life is like that, even if we don't want it to be, its busy. And it can pass us by so easily, especially at this time of the year.
So this week I am forcing myself to stop. To think and reflect.
* I'm grateful for our afternoons, at the beach and at the park feeding the ducks.
* I'm grateful for my gorgeous hubs, who misses me when I'm not there.
* I'm grateful for my two beautiful children, I feel so blessed that they are mine.
I'm looking forward to lots of family time and celebrations over the weekend.
What do you have planned?
What are you grateful for this week?
Happy weekend lovelies!

How crazy is life but being grateful so provides it's own pause and joy. I am grateful for my two girls and their princess kisses each day.xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thing to be grateful for! xo
DeleteI don't post about being grateful any more either, but I stop and think daily about the things for which I'm grateful. It usually comes back to my family...
ReplyDeleteI think I should do it daily too. xo
DeleteI love the way pausing each week to write my grateful post has become an anchor for me. I am more inclined to lean into gratitude on a daily basis as a result of those posts - nice to see you back even if only sometimes. I remember you as a key gratitude blog when i first linked up at bron's xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. xo
DeleteYu know, I always have a little grateful moment when I put the light out and hug the pillow. Always first for being in a warm dry bed, it's a privilege. And to have safe sleeping children, a luxury too. I linked today too.
ReplyDeleteWe are very lucky!
DeleteFinding the good in the crazy is how I like to look at it :) Family time planned for us too this weekend! I'm grateful for that xx
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great family filled weekend Elisa. xo
DeleteBeautiful.....I'm grateful for friendship x
ReplyDeleteAlways a great thing to be grateful for! x
DeleteI'm fairly new to the grateful crew, and I'm so loving the encouragement to stop and ponder what I can be grateful for this week. There is always something to be grateful for, however previously I would grumble more than I care to admit! Today I'm grateful for my air conditioner, which has been on all day and keeps this pregnant body cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda :) gotta love that air-conditioning! x
Deleteyep - it's crazy busy isn't it! love your gratefuls too! have a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda. xo
DeleteI miss the old days too :) Are there new rules? Oh dear, I hope I'm not breaking them! I must check that out.
ReplyDeleteLovely gratefuls x
I don't think there's new rules, I just get confused by the simplest changes! x
Deletewe do have to make ourselves just stop sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteI need to do it more often. Thanks Jen. x
DeleteI'm grateful for my two little boys, my ever-supportive husband and the simple life we lead - today it was a fete visit, then the park, gardening, moving the lawn & washing the car. I smiled to think that this is where I'm at now - family life in suburbia - but it's a great life, and I'm grateful for the simple things - health, my family, home - as they are what matter :)
ReplyDeleteFamily life in suburbia is a good place to be. xo
DeleteI round up my little grateful list every Saturday and throw in some kitty stuff just for kicks :)
ReplyDeleteIt's important to remember the little things you are grateful for.
Sarah @ A Cat-Like Curiosity
I agree, its so important. Thanks Sarah.
DeleteBeautiful post Jody, good on you for taking the time to reflect... I don't do it near enough myself these days either xo
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely Jules. xo
DeleteIt's lovely to see you here, Lemon Jodes. I think your words of "who misses me when I'm not there", just speak of love, so full and blooming. It's marvellous. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Bron! I'm going to make more of an effort to stop by. Thanks for having me once again. xo
DeletePS - We have new rules? x
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe not new rules, just more a comment on my confusion at even the simplest of changes! :)
