Keeping Cool

It's been heating up here and today was an absolute scorcher. I like the summer heat, but today was just excessive! Our air-conditioning is cranked up, the wading pool was pulled out, we are loving homemade mango icy-poles, icy cold water and sleeping under fresh cotton sheets.

How are you keeping cool?

  1. We have fresh bedding too, the shell pool is out the back, air con pumping (although it isn't working that great today) and an excessive ammount of water icey-poles!

    1. I love that all the washing dries so quickly in this weather too!

  2. Paddling pool and homemade icecreams for us too! Trips to the beach for some cool sea breezes. We are in the country but only about 15 minutes (ish) from the beach thank goodness. I think we may be in for a long hot summer!

    1. I can't even imagine a cold snap! cover those babies up! For the mango icy poles I just scoped out the flesh of a few mangos and whizzed them with the blender! simple as that! xo

  5. We don't have airconditioning so a visit to the local shopping centre for a cold drink is in order when the afternoons get too hot..otherwise we make do with lots of fans and cold drinks, or sit downstairs where it's cooler in the afternoon breeze.

  6. Work all day - the air con there is great! But our house was sweltering when we got home so we popped on the air con and have been enjoying it ever since. It's the first time we've used it and I'm very impressed!!
