Line dry

One thing I love about this awfully hot weather is the crisp line dried washing. I hate washing at every other time of year, I battle and struggle to stay on top of it. But when its 36 degrees, it dries in five minutes flat. I can stand in the sun, fold at the line and watch the children play, it simplifies the whole task.

And crisp line dried washing makes me happy.

What's making you happy today?

  1. I love line drying too! There's a real scent and feel, especially to sheets, when they come off the line that I adore. What's making me happy today is watching my Mr 5 excitedly head off for his last day of kindergarten with his new school bag because he's so excited about new beginnings and endings. xx

  2. I am exactly the same! I LOATHE washing in winter, but come summer it actually makes me smile. It feels good to get on top of it doesn't it.
Today we have the house back to ourselves and that makes me very happy. :) xx

  3. Oh, I love this too! The other day I did five loads before lunchtime - the magic of the sun! I love doing whites in summer - we use eco washing powder, so our whites tend to look very sad and grey in winter!

  4. I am embarrassed at the joy I get of washing drying so fast in summer. Washing out - check, washing in machine - check. By the time the cycle has finished the stuff on the line is dry and any whites are oh so white. - see embarrassing how happy it makes me.

  5. This is EXACTLY how I feel about washing Jody. It either fills me with joy or completely depresses me, haha! I LOVE the Summer months for washing though. The clothing is generally lighter, thinner and easier to dry to start with and those hot windy days when everything dries so quickly, are just the best! xo
