About Me

Hello! I am jody. I would love to tell you a little about myself.. I am twenty eight, i moved to Melbourne from Sydney ten years ago and am still here. I love my life, my family, my gorgeous husband and my two beautiful children. They have made me the person i am today, a better person, everyday is awesome because of them.

I married Mr S. in 2006 at The Stokehouse in St Kilda. It was an amazing day, not perfect, but perfect for me, we all ate and drank far too much and i could have not have been happier.

That was until early 2008, to our surprise, we found out we were pregnant with our first baby. I can not even begin to describe the emotions and feelings that accompanied this discovery. It was an amazing and let me say enlightening journey to the birth of our beautiful son.

Riley, you are the apple of my eye. Such a sweet little lad. Although i was totally unprepared for motherhood, well that is an exaggeration, but not far from the truth, nothing can ever really prepare you for the sleep deprivation and cry's of a hungry newborn. But not only did we survive, we enjoyed every minute!

Crazily enough we decided to do it all again! Pregnant with a one and a bit year old - challenging to say the least, but we had fun too, cherished and made the most of the time. It would never only be the three of us again.

Little Lyla Eve arrived on the twenty fourth of March 2010, my birthday, just as i knew she would. She was trouble from the start, in a rush to enter this world. My beautiful girl, not too unlike her mother, independent, determined, strong-willed and yet a little needy. You have completed our little family and completed me, I feel blessed too have each of you in my life, you are my life.

My lovelies. This is my story, my life, a record of the things we do, things we love to do, things i love.

I am a mumma. wife. sister. daughter. lover. thinker. hairdresser. cleaner {sometimes}. wanna be photographer, stylist, chef and creator.  I feel so inspired, there is so much i want to do with this life, if only there was enough time to do it all! And did i mention i love cooking? Mr S. would say its the only thing i am passionate about. I love anything to do with food! cooking, eating, wine, fresh produce, good food and friends. you'll see lots of long, lazy sunday lunches and recipes here.

O and now i can say i am a blogger too!
